The People Behind The Blog

Kat Allen  Writer, Interviewer and Editor

From the nation’s capital of Canberra to one of the world’s most famous cities; Katherine, or Kat as she likes to be called, moved to Melbourne in 2015 to continue her studies in Journalism. An avid music journalist, Kat uses her skills to interview buskers and musicians, gaining solid information from them to put on the Buskers Of Melbourne blog. Kat likes travelling, surfing and photography.

Kate Katrina – The Paparazzi

Kate Katrina is a writer based in Melbourne, Australia, who has this creepy habit of taking photos of people unaware. When they figure it out, well shit gets weird. It’s rather convenient that she’s taking photos for this project, finally providing her with a socially acceptable way of turning her obsession for photography into something constructive.

When not being a creepy weirdo Kate writes poetry and does arty stuff. She also rides a fixie because, lets face it, she clearly a hipster. She’s also currently a student at RMIT, which means she’s pretty smart. You can find more of Kate's work on her Wordpress site.

Kim Grima  Editor, Writer and Interviewer

Kim Grima never meant to be a writer but stumbled into it after her gap year. Being a complete organisational and control freak, she finds that her writing and editing course at RMIT helps her exercise these demons, while also keeping her happy and entertained. Kim plans on pursuing a career in this field before retiring at 20yrs old; moving to a small community village sipping tea all day and spending time organising DVDs alphabetically.

Aleksander Moov – Writer and Social Media Manager

Aleksandar Moov is a young up and coming writer with a background in music and poetry. Having previously studied audio engineering and music production, Aleksandar’s skills are perfectly matched to that of Buskers of Melbourne. Using his previous experience in music and colourful poetic language, Moov uses his unique style of writing to immerse audiences into the minds of the team and the processes behind the blogs content.
